July 27 The Dark KnightThere is a lot of hype related to this movie. It surpassed 300 Million+ in 10 days. On Superherohype.com, alot are eager for this film to take down Titanic at 600 Million+. Here is what I wrote on the boards of a this thread today. The Dark Knight Reaches a Record $314.2M in 10 Days! "I love the film, but I am not going to hold my breath on it beating Titanic's numbers. I hope at minimum it beats Spider-Man at 404 million+, I would love for it to get 460 million+ and become number 2 all time passing Star Wars. I would be ecstatic to have it be the second movie to earn 500 million+. But I think Titanic's numbers are a far reach. Especially with the higher ticket prices today, and no other film getting close. Though at this time. If any film is going to do it. This would be that film. I saw it 4 times so far. Hope to see it maybe a few more times before I wait to buy it on DVD and have to wait hopefully no more than 3 years for my Nolan directed Batman fix. " Needless to say, I love this film. I only had a few issues with it, that might not even be issues. If you have not seen it yet, what is wrong with you? I have not written a review on any films lately. And I really am not writing one for this movie. I think with all the other reviews out there, as well as all the buzz surrounding it, nothing on this blog will persuade anyone on the fence from seeing this movie. I will just say, go see it and you will not be disappointed. I will try and get back on the horse with writing on this blog, life just has a way of making one more busy at times than you thought you might be. JZ |
