Everwood and One Tree Hill Season Finalies

Everwood had its final show of the season.  Nothing too eventful happening besides Andy kissing his neighbor and ummm Bright kissing Hanna.  Other than that, it was a less than eventful end to a rather good season.  As far as I am concerned, this should have been the Season opener for next season.  Last weeks episode would have made for a bigger cliff hanger.

Then on Tuesday, we had the 2 hour season finale of One Tree Hill.  The first hour had me bouncing between stories more than a 6 year old on a sugar high.  The first hour sucked balls.  The second hour was excellent.  With Lucas getting tested by his dad, and getting caught in the act.  They had the goods to nail Dan to the wall, but the car dealership is under Deb's name.  How bad does that suck.  There was more to the second hour but I can't remember.  It's going to be a long summer.

Smallville and The O.C. Season Finales

A little late with my thoughts on the last episodes of the season for Smallville and The O.C.  But better late than never.

Smallville rocked. Looks like the fortress of solitude is going to be making its debut when the new season arrives.  I am just waiting for them to kill off Jonathan Kent.  For those who don't know, in the original cannon of Superman, Jonathan died of a heart attack when Clark was a teenager.  For those who have seen the first movie, you know what I am talking about.  For some reason, this was changed post crisis in the comics, and then seen on the small screen on "Lois and Clark".  I know they have been hinting another heart attack soon all during this season.  I am curious how much of smallville is left after this newest meteor shower.  And is Lex going to kick Chloes ass or what?  Sigh, no Smallville for a while, bastards.

The O.C. was pretty deacent.  We saw Kirsten go to rehab, Ryan and Trey kick each others ass, and Marrissa shoot Trey in the back.  I am just curious if anyone decided to call 911 at any short amount of time.  At the end, the gang just stood there chillen with Trey staining the carpet.  Don't fret, the summer season of the O.C. is right around the corner... fancy  way of saying reruns... but hey reruns of the O.C. is far better than a filler show ala The WB and thier wonderful filler series, Beauty and the Geek.  Christ that sucks.

    Smallville and The O.C.

Well this weeks episode of Smallville in my opinion was average.  Usual plot of some dude having some special meteor rock power (encase someone in ice... I think it was ice), only for his power not work on Clark.  Though this time his power this time was somehow reversed, the dude freezed and fell down stairs and broke into peaces.  Infact the only strange thing that I really took from this episode was how dark it seemed.  It was like Silence of the Lambs meets the Last Samuri.  What!?! Yea, well the Last Samuri is the only movie I could think of with a beheading.  Yea, the villian in Smallville beheaded one of Chloe and Lana's freind, after freezing her of course.  Lex and his fathers story was much more enjoyable.  Shit is hitting the fan between the Luthors and that Chick.  This weeks hour and a half season finalle better be a lot better.

The O.C. was enjoyable.  Not so much the story of Kirstin... well not until her father died and she grabbed the bottle that was stowed away in her purse for those special needs.  But the whole who is taking Summer to prom, and who was having dinner with George Lucas was funny.  Seth won the toss to meet Lucas, but ended up going to the prom to be with Summer while polo boy... damn name escapes me was more intrested in the business than the pleasure.  And finally Ryan was questioning his girl about what was going on with her and his brother.  Nothing was truley resolved with this though... ahh I love season finally cliff hangers.  And whats going to happen with Julie?  She did not murder him, but if they find the empty pills and the signed divorce papers, questions could be raised.  Well it should be an entertaining time.

BIG NEWS.... Don't miss the 10 minute preview of Batman Begins that is airing with Smallville tomorrow.

Be looking for my Kingdom of Heaven review.  Thats it for me, peace.

    Everwood and One Tree Hill

Everwood was a fresh one last night, the first of the last 3 of the season.  And it looks like they are taking the Empire way of ending the season with a very dark ending.  Epherm is going to Euroupe, and Amy's mom looks like she is going to be having a very rough time with the cancer.  It would suck if they killed her off, but who knows.  My only question is did Epherm graduate, or did he just quit school during his last month of senior year and move.  They did not bother to explain that quite yet.

One Tree Hill was also fresh this week.  I think two episodes remain this season as well.  This weeks episode was a well done "what if" episode.  What if Dan married Karen and not Deb.  I liked how well the back story was with Dan not having access to any of Deb's parents money, and that Deb's parents actually cut her off when Nathen was born.  The last two episodes look like episodes to watch.

    The O.C. and stuff

Well last night FOX ran two new episodes of The O.C.  The first was last weeks scheduled episode that was preempted by President Bush's speech.  I thought they showed it after the speech and I missed out on it when my VCR did not record after 9.  But Fox's lack of faith in Tru Calling and Point Pleasent worked to my advantage with a double shot of The O.C.

The first episode saw Sandy, Ryan and Seth head to Miami to visit the Nana.  While there Seth and Ryan get caught up in some fun spring break drama.  I mean sure if Seth had to get his ass kicked by a group of bible studing buddies... what a way to easily accept it. I mean come on, who wouldn't lick whipped cream off of Jamie King.  Summer saw this on TV and kissed Zak who is trying to get back with her now.  What a punk.  This episode would also see Kirstin kiss a departing Carter, and proceed to drink more and more.  And finally the big story from this episode in my book was that A) Ryan's brother was doing coke, and 2) he nearly raped Marrissa.  Lets just say someone is going to get thier ass kicked soon.

Episode two of the night basically dealt with all the stuff from the first episode.  Nothing really happened with Ryan, Marrisa and Ryan's Brother other than Ryan asking if anything was wrong with Marrissa, and Ryan seeing his brother leave Marrissa's house late at night.

Two really good episodes in my book.  Well see what happens with Kristin after getting hit by the garbage truck this week.

Other than that, Everwood, One Tree Hill, and Smallville all had great shows for the last few weeks.  Had I not been ill I would have mentioned more about them after I saw them.  With only a few episodes left in the season for each show, crazy things are going to be happening.

I missed the World Poker Tour last night, I plan on catching a repeat later this weekend.  I'm done... later.

    Smallville, WPT, and The O.C.

Well finally Smallville had a new episode, and let me tell you it was a very good episode.  Lex is in a lab accident at LexCorp.  During the accident he is split into two personalities, one good and one evil.  Yeah, I know the classic split.  Well the accident was caused when Lex accidentally creates some black kryptonite.  Well the story goes on and Evil Lex traps his good half in the basement of the mansion.  Spoofing the Man in the Iron Mask.  Evil Lex goes on to hit on Lana and pushes his father back to the dark side of the force.  Lex goes on to find out that Clark has special abilities.  But in the end he is put back together and does not remember anything that happened during the split.  Cheesy ending, but an over all great episode.  When are they going to pull the trigger on Chloe knowing Clark's secret.

After that was the World Poker Tour from the Foxwood Casino.  Let me just say that I only knew 2 of the guys at the final table, David Pham and Humbreto Brenes, both who I would have put to be at the final table.  Wrong!  They both hit the bricks in 6th and 3rd place respectively.  Tuan Le and Temperance "Temp" Hutter went heads up for the 1.3 million.  Trun Le, who in my opinion, is one of the luckiest people to win on the WPT.  3 times he went all in he should have lost, but won.  The first time knocked out Bradly Bermen.  BB had pocket kings, while Tuan had an ace queen off suit.  The punk caught an ace on the river to give him the high pair.  Then twice he should have lost to Temp and caught a good card on the river.  All in all a good tournament.  One that saw Tuan start out with the chip lead after knocking out Pham in the first few hands, at one point having over 5 million chips.  Then he had the bottom stack after some laydowns, only to get lucky as hell and win the tourney.   I hope he gets his ass kicked in the finals.

Finally, tonight had a decent episode of The O.C.  What can I really say, it was entertaining.  Looks like next week we need to find out who passed out "E" at Trey's birthday party that got out of hand.

    Anyhow, I'm out!
