November 02 Election related linkis I posted on FacebookGreetings all, I have shared a lot of links lately related to the election on my facebook page. For those of you that sometimes frequent my blog but not my facebook page. Here is a sample of those links. And below the link is my comment if any. And I am not a big supporter of McCain, though I am going to vote for him. I am not asking you to vote for McCain. But if you are thinking of voting for Obama, think twice before you do. What do you really know about Obama outside of his fancy speaches? Hell, his sister and he can not even agree on where he was born. Maybe you could vote for Nader, Barr, Riva, or some other third party candidate. Obama 'admits' Kenyan birth? The Savage Nation Michael Savage has links to many news stories related to the election. Check some of them out. You might be surprised by what you find out. Obama Affinity to Marxists Dates Back to College Days Don't tell me Obama is not a marxist. He practically waves it in our faces. I mean, I could be wrong. He might not have ever read his own book, that he wrote himself. Yea, I guess I could be wrong. Not to mention that he has a huge lack of experience. I mean people are concerned if McCain dies in office, some how we are screwed with Palin as Vice President. Well wouldn't we be more screwed if Obama did not die in office for Biden to take command. Isn't it better to have a VP that has more experience than the possible sitting president? CharlestonWatch.com > Shrimp 'n Grits 2 Charged With Assaulting GOP Campaign Workers A friend of mine who I work with was talking to me about Obama today. He said that Obama has the largest number of volunteers in history working on his campaign. He asked me "What does that tell you about Obama?". Honestly, that he is a good talker, and thats about it. But here is a nice little news story on a few of his supporters. Not sure if they are volunteers or not, but does it really matter? A speechwriter for Obama, Edwards, and Clinton on why she’s voting McCain. How Low Can It Go? Richardson Pegs Middle Class as Those Making Under $120,000 Don't fool yourself into thinking that Obama wants to help the middle class. He is an elitist. He wants to take as much away from you as possible, and have the government pass out checks to people as it sees fit. There will basically be two classes, the haves (government) and the have nots (everyone else). Forget the label rich and poor. There will basically be a penalty for achieving. If you want to make more money to support your family, under Obama, that extra money you make for bettering yourself will be gone. Distributed to someone else who does not achieve to make themselves better. You can already see this by him lowering the number of income to be considered "Middle Class". It started at $250,000, and now its already down to $150,000 to $120,000. I am not saying vote for McCain. But think twice before voting for Obama. Dear Mr Obama A Young Liberal WomanA young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth. She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and an occasional chat with various professors, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his. One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school. Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying. Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes the next day because she's too hung over.' Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.' The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That's a crazy idea. That would not be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!' The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently,'Welcome to the Republican party.' If anyone has a better explanation of the difference between a I modified the end because there is really not much difference between a republican and democrat. You can have a liberal republican and a conservative democrat. But in general, we associate conservatism with the republicans, and liberalism with the democrats. The truth is that there are Democrats who are conservative that I would have voted for over McCain if they were running against him. Democrats like Zel Miller from Georgia, hell, even JFK I would have voted for. JFK was more conservative than John McCain is now. The conservatives do not have a strangle hold on the Republican party like the liberals do on the Democrat party. October 17 Who just does not get it?I got this in my email box earlier in the week. I have not went through the URLs yet. I will this weekend. But feel free to read it if you want. Interesting stuff here if it is all accurate. Keep in mind I am not the author, so don't whine to me, I am just passing it along to you. <quote> It makes you wonder.......who is stupid ??? or just doesn't get it?? This email comes in three parts....Make sure you read all three parts! It is longer than most, but worth the read. Part 1 Thought you might like to read the following: A little over one year ago:
Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
America voted for change in 2006, and we got it! Remember, it is Congress that makes the laws and spends our money not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him. Part 2:
Barack Obama promises to return to the higher tax rates if elected. It is amazing how many people who fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If elected, Barack Obama has already promised that he will repeal the Bush tax cuts, and amazingly, a good portion of the people who fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. PART 3: I hope the following 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them. I have included the URL's for verification of all the following facts.
The total cost is a whopping $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. Are we
THAT stupid? If this doesn't bother you, then just delete the message.
If, on the other hand, it raises the hair on the back of your neck, I
hope you continue to forward it to every legal resident in the country
including every representative in Washington, D.C </quote> January 22 Inconvenient TruthThe only inconvenient truth in this story is that they will need to UPS in snow shovels to Arizona.
Read the story here. January 10 House votes to increase the minimum wage.Great, so over the next two years minimum wage is going to increase by $2.10. That's fantastic news for those who keep their jobs. The others that the companies can't afford to pay will be screwed as they have to hit the unemployment lines. Walmart won't be hit as much as the small family owned companies.
The unemployment rate will go up, and the media will blame Bush as we get closer to 2008. Hope you all enjoy the new congress you voted in who while voting for this won't see much of the blame. You got to love the media. December 27 President Gerald Ford starts his new life....Fox News - Click Here
Can't say much about him as I did not follow him as much as other Presidents. I do know he pardoned Nixon. But he was a President non the less and should be remembered as he will be. God speed sir. November 26 It's called a V-ChipI just read this short article on IMDBs WENN feed. It's short, but if you read "Spielberg Blasts "Irresponsible" TV Industry". Spielberg basically says that he is concerened with what is on TV. He is concerned with his children seeing shows like CSI. Well, I would suggest looking into something called the V-Chip Steven. As far as I know, just about every TV made in the last 10 years has had one. And also, just about every cable/satilite box also has the same type of featured installed. You can block shows based on lots of criteria. Rating, time of day, I think by channel and some more. Parents have the power to monitor what thier children watches at home already. So parents like Steven Spielburg should educate themselves on the simple features of thier own TVs before trying lecuture parents on what they should and should not do with thier children. Another attack on the religion!!!So a residence advisor at a college decided to ban bible study groups in the dorms. They used the separation of church and state as an excuse for this ludicrous action. I can not believe that someone going to college would be so ignorant of what the separation of church and state is to imply. I don't feel like going into it, but separation of church and state simply was intended to say that the church can not make law for the state. It's not to say that the state can not recognized the church, or even make law based on church law if that is what the people vote for. I wonder what religious group was having the meetings; I would put 50 bucks on a Christian organization. You can never be too suprrised with Cali...Wow, a school in California is not going to punish a student for broadcasting a porn on the school airwaves. Not sure what I am more shocked by, the fact that a student had the nerve to show his fellow students what he is made of or not maybe. Or the fact that the administration at this college don't want to get involved in punishing this students involved. They figure let the students handle it themselves. Yea, that worked so well so far. I can imagine that this somehow violates some sort of student code of conduct. Well, if you want to see University of California Girls Gone Wild, no need to wait for the DVD to come out. The administration of this school is a joke. November 03 Stupid Lawsuit by a stupid individualCustomer glued to toilet seat sues Home Depot This news story is great. Someone played a unfortunate prank on a random person at Home Depot. They put glue on the toilet seat. The man is now sueing Home Depot because his cries for help went unanswered for 15 minutes. The best quote of the story "They just let me rot". Oh god that was so funny, I was seriously tearing up from laughter. Can I sue a resteraunt for letting me go 15 minutes before getting my food order in? They let me starve, I was skin and bones before I got my salad. But seriously, this dude is sueing Home Depot? That is just about the stupidest law suit I have heard of in a while. I hope he loses, which probably won't happen. Check out the story and let me know what you think. September 14 Federal Judge says Pledge is unconstitutionalSo I was eating my lunch at my local BW-3 when I say a news alert on
Fox News. Apperently a judge deamed that it is unconstitional to
recite the Pledge in public schools. Well this ended my peaceful
lunch. What an attack against the american way of life from the
inside. I guess the United States is going the path of Rome and
will destroy itself from the inside. I am going to take stabs in
the dark about this Judge and guess he is a Liberal... you know, the
group that hates god, hates america being an actual superpower... the
group that wants your children to learn the 5 pilars of Islam rather
than recite the pledge of alligence. The pledge to the country
that won't kill you if you are in a different religion. Saying
the pledge of alligence to a country that up until this point has
defended religious freedom is about the worse thing you can do.
But what can you expect from Judges that make law from the bench, a
educational system that is basically an anti-american trainning
center. And don't give me the serperation of church and state
argument. The founders ment that to say that the church could not
be in control of the government and determine law. Not that the
government could not give props to the church... any church that
is. This type of thing just makes me sick and worry for the future of my children. When I do, I am going to send them to a Catholic school so they get a good education based on actual results, not based on how hard they try. And so they are spared all the liberal brainwashing bullshit the current school system seems to have. August 12 Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks backGot this in my email this week. I am not sure if Andy Rooney
actually stated this since I don't watch 60 Minutes, but if you know
let me know. Either way, there are some good points in this rant. Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back: I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens... Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door. I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason... that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE? When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability. I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English! My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry behind if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations. I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor. I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building. It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!" I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries! I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else. And if you don't like my point of view, tough... July 12 Bush meets with members of congresshttp://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,162229,00.html Follow the link if you must. Bush met with the 7 democratic senetors who comprised half of the "gang of 14". This is half of the group that pretty much pissed on our founding document when they refused to give any of President Bush's nominees an up or down vote ("nuculer option"). The so called nuculer option for supreame court... well any court, nominees was in practice in our nation for over 200 years. And a majority of the republican in congress knows this but refuse to fight a press war to get the right people voted in. If Bush picks a nominee off a list provided to him by this group of 8, well Bush would be making the greatest mistake of his presidential carreer, even bigger than not fighting a complete, total war in Iraq. Bush was supposed to be following in the steps of Ronald Regean, the greatest president since the founding fathers time. Bush has got to get this nominee correct if we want to get this country back on track. July 09 Economics 101: Rush explains a small peace of capitolismThere is the link folks, its funny at least to me. I am not sure how long the link will be available. Rush Limbuagh is taking the time to rebute a blog post somewhere. The blogger or article writer was complaining about his Club Gitmo clothing line and took issue with what he is doing with the money raised. In classic Rush style, he explained what he does in the simplist of terms. He keeps the money. Here, if you missed what he is saying on his site, let me break it down for you like this:
Income (money coming in from selling the clothes) - Expenses (cost of making the clothes, shipping, etc.) - Taxes (Yes, taxes and this income addes to his tax braket) = Profit (money that is yours that you can do what you want with)
Really its a simple formula, if its a complex subject for you. Maybe you could take a business class at the local community college. July 07 London Terrorist attackshttp://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,161768,00.html Breaking news. My condolences go out to the people of England. July 06 Bush spits game about his possible appointee, my thoughtsThis morning I heard on the radio some comments from President Bush (not Mr. Bush, show respect you pot smoking maggot infested hippies!) about the qualities his Supreme Court appointee might have. In short he basically said that the person who he appoints will be able to do the job of interpreting the constitution with out bias. He is not going to test them on whether or not they are pro-choice (murder) or life, or other key issues. This is all well and good. That’s what they are supposed to do in the Supreme Court. They are to interpret law.
The problem is that anyone can interpret the constitution. The issue I have is when someone expands on what they are interpreting. The ever since the Supreme Court, and other lower courts, have become more liberal due to who has been appointed. It seems that the Judges seem to vote things down when it in the best interest of the United States as a country, its citizens, and its sovereignty. These are the judges who allow an attack on Christianity and Judaism, making the Ten Commandments in schools to become a larger issue than schools not actually teaching students. Yes, there is a separation of Church and state. That does not mean that the state can not recognize the Church, and I mean any church. Separation of Church and state means that the Church can not become the governing body. Take for instance the Vatican City, or the way Afghanistan was. Those are examples of the Church or religious body dictating law. That’s not the only issue that they have expanded the constitution to fit. But who has time to go through all of those examples. Take a glance at some of my recommended reading. They have plenty of examples.
Enter the last 50 years were communism disguised as liberalism basically took over the Democratic party, yes... took over. JFK, and RFK for that matter, was more conservative than most republicans of this modern era. FDR and Truman were more liberal than JFK, but not everyone is perfect and they were products of the depression. Old Teddy Kennedy could not form an opinion of his own so probably rolled with the times becoming the person we see today, while in the process allowing his brothers legacy be destroyed by his own party. Before 1950, for the most part democrats were the conservative party of the era. Anyhow, so liberalism takes over the Democratic Party, infiltrates our schools, churches, courts and media. And slowly begins to tear down the American culture, weakens our borders, and pretty much puts us where we are today. When ever a conservative congress tries to pass a law that will try and get some of what we have lost security or culture wise. The last hope of liberalism, the courts say it is unconstitutional. Requiring illegal aliens have a valid drivers license in Florida is unconstitutional? Not allowing illegal aliens have access to state benefits in Arizona is unconstitutional? Heaven forbid we not keep tabs on people in this country who are here illegally. I guess allowing common since in government is unconstitutional as well.
This is why this nomination is so important. In my opinion, if Bush screws this up, it will be the last chance we had to protect our sovereignty and what remains of our culture. Before you know it, we will be destroyed from the inside. The parts of the US will become part of Mexico. And whatever is left will be left to the fate of the United Nations. Sure we will be living the American dream, paying 50%+ of our taxes to support other countries like France. Joy! Riots at the G8 conferance... no, really!!!This morning I heard that there were violent riots outside the conference. Really!?! Wow, who did not see that one coming? Apparently liberals and/or socialist like to protest anything, even a socialist view like helping Africa, which in my opinion only makes them more dependant on foriegn aid by changing thier enviroment (economy wise). I guess rioting beats other things they could be doing with thier time, for instance... maybe going to work.
July 04 G8 is this week... and we get lame ONE commercialsA lot of crap is going on before the G8 as per usual.
"We're not asking for your money, we're asking for your voice" -- Tom Hanks on the One commercial.
Then we have this Live 8 concert where they are raising awareness by having a free concert in 8 cities in 8 different countries. What!?!. I may not have taken many economics classes, but could you have charged a small ticket price and raised money for Africa instead of promoting awareness to the fact that the G8 is going to be talking about poverty in Africa. Again, brilliant job by all these musicians and actors. I mean seriously, lets say that they got a decent size crowd in these 8 cities. Maybe 50,000 (some of the crowds looked more massive than that) and multiply that by 8 and you got 4,000,000 peace loving hippies enjoying some music... Charge those freeloaders 10 - 20 bucks a ticket which is cheap by today's standards, and extremely cheap considering all the "talent" at each show. Now provided these punks have a job, then that would raise 40 - 80 million dollars for poverty in Africa. Instead, what do they want to do... they want us to sign some petition to send to Bush and the other 7 leaders so that they can do it through the Government by raising your taxes. Nice... I say charity starts at home. I would have paid up to 50 bucks to see the show they put on in Philly, had I known anything about the concert. But no... just sign a petition so that we can measure our success by our intention rather than by actual results.
Do you want to help Africa? Well then go ahead and do it. More is accomplished by private citizens going out and helping, rather than having the Government go out a raise our taxes, so that we can pay for the burocracy to help Africa. Lets be honest, big government is not the most efficient at anything. Well its getting better. But it is no where near the efficiency it had during the Reagan Administration. |
